Ben, are those your bullet in the photo with the stick and biggie from Carnuba Blue?
The new 190 RD looks good but it looks like a different bullet in the photo I mentioned.

Makes for a great looking 357 round. I like it.

I dig it too, looks just perfect for a nice straight shot up the bore and a big splash downrange. Extra-long bullets with the nose blending nicely into the body like that have done very, very well for me in the .44 Magnum and .45 Colt.

airc the feeler gauge DW sent out with the revolvers was .004.
I always just found that one chamber face that stuck out a touch further than the others and set it to have an eyeballed line of sunlight, then tensioned down the barrel cover.

No not the same bullet. I saw that on the " net " and used the photo to illustrate what Carnauba Blue looks like and it's source.

That looks like the nicest RD bullet yet. I love that long, tapered nose. Should be one hell of a shooter.
Can you measure crimp to nose for me? I wonder if my Marlin would feed it.

you could go to the front of the drive band and just do a bump crimp right there, or taper crimp them.
that should shorten them about another .10

The 358430 in 195 gr worked well with 6-7 gr Herco. I don't know how the bearing length compares but that is a neat bullet.

Did you ever try those out, Ben? I've had this thread in the back of my mind for a while, being one who really likes the "hammer" concept for revolvers, particularly in the field. I use 340s in my .45 Colt revolvers at about 700 fps for ending fights with game animals without ending my hearing.

I have not Ian,........... It is on my " 2 - DO List ".

I thought the nose to crimp was .380" or at least in that ball park. Michael designed it for the .35 Remington, but why not use it for .357 ? I am interested in how it works. I have many of his designs.
