German Salazar's "Rifleman's Journal"...

Speaks of wind like an ocean wave. The calm, just before the wave builds.....or some such.Sadly, his blog? has been taken down. But,I did read it,over and over a cpl years ago.Learning a lot.

So,today at lunch it was a dead calm on conditions. Now,an hour or so later, the conditions have drastically changed to,trees being busted off down in the woods behind the shop.....where's the 7-08,haha.

And that there is what's wrong with 22's.It needs to be calm, very calm,to have any sort of success.Least, that's how I see it.

Sounds great!

That's one of the molds I've been meaning to order.

I know what you are talking about: I always try to pick the right caliber / rifle to shoot on a particular session.
the little bores need good conditions otherwise you are chasing loads around! My shooting buddy , Ed loves the sub24 bores and has good day & bad days! Pulling his hair out!
I pick the rifle to fit the day & I'm much happier
