6.8 barrel and bolt from AR Precision . They do an 11° or 5/8-24 on a 5R barrel . 1-10 or 1-11 last time I looked at them . I have a 20" heavy rifle gas on one I shoot occasionally . 4198 for the 279-124 NOE to 2250 fps will give you somewhat over 1000#@100 , a jacketed bullet like the 120 SST should go 2450 on H335 if memory serves me and carry around 1400# .

Adj gas block might help. I bought one to try then my buddy cane over to i stall a barrel on a upper. (I have a action wrench) and needed it. ;). Friends in need!! Ill have one when he buys me a replacement. I want it for my 350 Legend build a d I havent even ordered my bbl so no rush on my part.

The Jbullet application chart for the spc is part of my liking it. That Nosler Accubond has been majic for me! I wish they made it in all

I spent a lot of time on 6.8 or 68forums ...... basically a whole forum dedicated to the 6.8 . Lots of load data that is for the spec 2 which is what it was supposed to be before it was SAAMI'd with the short throat . Unfortunately the forum was bought out and stuff changed a familiar story to CB orphans ....... I have a whole R&D for a Blackthorne products assy work up in there several pages long good , bad , train wreck . Free bullets or shooting cast , something like that it's under RBHarter I think ..... Might just be Harter or Harter66 . I haven't been there in months ......

I have never been a 270 guy and pupu the 6.8 for years. Going with the Grendel. But recently I was sorting a pail of brass only to find about 4/500 6.8 & 7.62x39 Brass cases!! Now I got my brain swriling do I now "need" a 6.8 & Ruski?? ;)

I use 6.8SPC as parent cases for my 30 Herrett Rimless AR15 wildcat upper. And if you don't want them, send them my way. I can always trim them down and reform them for a better cartridge... ;)

100gr Hornady Spirepoints with Blue polymer coating. 26gr of AA1680 at 2500fps. Are these the blue pills some folk talk about?

I've got some test loads with Lee's 160gr spirepoint bullet and Ideal's 175gr 311413 and 130gr 311410 bullets that should exceed 30-30 Winchester velocities with equivalent weight bullets loaded up. Now the big fight...range time which is getting more scarce by the minute lately.
