35-200 ?

Are they all pretty much the same ?

I have a "new" 358 Win in the works ,the 35-200 is the most suggested mould . Being the money sensitive sort that I am if the Lee boolit is 98%of the RCBS is 98% of the NOE then I would buy the 6C over the 2 or 4C with the money being about the same . The 2nd driver in my quest is that the rifle has the 35 XCB leade/throat so I may just do that and be happy with a 2+2 NOE.
I would really like to go into this rifle with 2 moulds for getting the field job done .
The 35 caliber rifle is new ground for me and I have studied up enough to learn that they really begin to shine over 200 gr and the pistol bullets make fine squirrel slayers.

Just because I get the "worthless w/o pix" thing all the time

Looks like your going to end with a nice one.
The Lee does look an awful lot alike to the RCBS.

A very fine rifle!

I've read that the Lee 35-200 mold runs undersized. My RCBS 35-200 casts at .358". The NOE 360-200 will cast at .360". You might want to do a pound slug your chamber and bore and be sure that the mold you pick will fit your rifle right. Buying the wrong mold and wasting all those components to find out that it's the wrong one, stings the wallet twice as much.

I have several Lee molds. They are nearly all undersized and ALL are smaller than I would like.

I have a few also the pistol moulds are big ,the nose was small on the 8mm .

I'm pretty sure Tim M cut this chamber correct. The bbl is from his 35/303 on the Arisaka cut, threaded , and rechambered 358 Win for my action. He gave me all the info also . (You might know Goodsteel)

If heavier interests you there is this - RCBS 35-250.

For scale that's a 357 magnum case sitting next to it.

Noe 360200, 360230, and 360009 all shoot great in my whelen. The 35xcb is the only bullet i have failed to get to shoot so far. I will say my chamber is factory and not specifically cut for the xcb.
All of the noe moulds including the xcb pour .3605 or a bit more with straight ww.

The 200 or 230 gr. noe would make a fine all around target and hunting bullet in .358 win. Both are very accurate.
I have some 35 xcb bullets cast from straight ww i could send you if you would like to try some before buying a mould.

I just ran a tight brush and have exactly 1 -12 . Good for long heavies ! Seems like heavier won't be a problem . With my current methods I am getting over 2200 pretty regularly . I shoot heavy for cartridge boolits in a couple of rifles and am about to settle into a 230 in an 06'. Meanwhile I have a 130 in a 6.8 SPCII Rem going right into jacketed speeds. I don't know why I went off into that.

35 shooter I'll take you up on that . I don't think 125 and 160gr boolits will get me too far in full tilt loads .

Greetings
Undersized molds are easily fixed with lapping compound. Even faster is the "Beagle" method using the high temp aluminum duct tape. Both are very effective when just .002-.005 is needed.
