What are your intended uses for this one, if I may ask ?

This one is 223 Rem-specific in the 1-9" twists. Ian and others have reported good results in 223 with this design. The 22 Hornet and 22-250 do decent work with #225438 and RCBS 22-55-SP respectively. but the 223 remains dodgy and tempermental. That will not do.

I have a Saeco 221 for the same reason. One of these days I’ll get to give it a try.

Bolt, singleshot, or gas gun?

Bolt, mostly--Ruger 77RL. I may try it in the gas guns (Mini-14 and two AR uppers) if I can coax good behavior from the bolter. One disaster at a time is my preferred mode of travel.

I have the lighter NOE 225-57 that I've used in the boltgun, but have found the RCBS 22-55 to work in it and the AR, both 9 twist. The short throat of the 223 chamber puts the GC right at the bottom of the neck with both bullets.

Ordered on Sunday, arrived here today (Thursday).

One of these was delivered this morning, has been cleaned, and is in the oven heat cycling. Hopefully it will do better in a 9 twist 556 than its lighter sibling.
