Got this one in from Tom today. I am amazed at his speed. I ordered the mold Sunday night.

This one will be for my muzzleloader this hunting season. I'll get back to paper patching later.

Is there a lull in the custom mould market currently? I live under a rock.

Every piece of this mold screams quality. I love how the sprue plate is made. It's a great design and there's not a sharp spot or burr anywhere.

I'm excited about this one. I had some samples of this bullet sent to me before buying the mold, and they shot great.

Shot a few today the first group I didn't swab the bore between shots and the second group I did. Looks like I need to keep swabbing lol

Either of those groups at 100 is way better than required for deer. I prefer no swabbing for hunting, follow up shots aren't likely to be from a swabbed bore.

What kind of load?

51gr measured by weight of BH 209 with a felt wad between the bullet and powder. Federal 209A primer.

Bullets were lubed with a mix of beeswax, olive oil, and crisco. I really don't know how much of each I just played with it until it stayed in the grooves when pushing the bullets out of the lube cake.

Nice!

What gun are you testing from?

Might try 2 wads, made a significant difference for me.

I'm shooting an encore endeavor that I sent to David White at DandT custom gun works to have the QLA removed. He cut my barrel back to 23" and recrowned my barrel.

I may try 2 wads but I'm not gonna lie I am very happy with 3 shots pretty much touching at 100yds from a muzzleloader.

As you should be!

The point of the multi wad arrangement isn't just increased accuracy, it usually does help. It seems to get more shots without swabbing. I could only get a couple shots without bore cleaning, but with 2 wads i get better accuracy & 6 shots between swabs.

Nice job they did for you on that.

Hi Will
I realize this thread is a little old, but, what alloy were you using? I’m guessing pure lead, but would like to know for sure. That looks like a mold I might have to try. Thanks! Harles

I used SOWW and dental lead. I think the dental lead was pretty much like WW though. These bullets are definitely not dead soft.
