6.5 Creedmoor factory loads

Rifle is a CZ 557 American synthetic. Ammo was Remington core locks, 120 gr I think. I shot two rounds to get the gun on paper. Then shot 2, 3 shot groups with my reloads, Hornady 120 gr ELD and a charge of H414. I only had 7 rounds…. My group was .53 inches, son shot .83 but I had the better front rest so my advantage. Then I shot a group with the factory ammo, 3.75 inches. At that point I told my son to finish the last 15 rounds so we could reload the brass and the rest of his groups were similar to my first. If I wasn’t a reloader and bought that combination I would have been selling that gun on my way home from the range. Absolutely pathetic!

The reloads though, my very first ones, are a keeper. I’m going to load some more and chrony them and then try to find some woodchucks to shoot with it. Really happy with that combination! Not sure how that bullet would work on deer but I’m guessing it would be perfectly fine for broadside shots. Heck, I killed over a dozen with my 22-250 so I’m pretty sure this would work.

I have bought and sold allot of rifles. One single rifle was not able to be improved upon with Hand Loads. One... That was a Brand New Winchester Deluxe Featherweight in 243.
I also had a 25/06 Howa that shot Winchester 120 power points as well as my hand loads but mo other factory measured up.
I havent bought factory centerfire ammo in a very long time! I have been gifted some here and there. (350 Legend / 300 Blk) So cant say much on recient rifles. But dosent really matter for me I shoot hand loads and mostly cast That ya cant ever buy today.

With shooting like that you can shoot them in the neck!
When you shoot a deer in the neck any bullet will do. No tracking necessary.

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
