A peep sight for my new 30s

Although I will be continually on the hunt for a Lyman 48RS I have my new 30s ready to sight in. I found this nice Redfield 30s sight and after total disassembly and cleaning it works great. I have a smaller aperture ordered and will load ammo soon. My doctor told me 4 more weeks before casting so I plan on following his directions to prevent a rupture.

Love the sight but still want the 48.

Exactly What I have on my GEW98! I just love it and it looks like it fits the rifle without looking like a sore thumb ( AKA Williams! love them too but but ugly)
I have a set of target knobs for it but haven't installed them because I like the hunter knobs, like yours, better!

I missed this earlier! Do these bolt action receiver sights have compatible hole locations? The newer Williams and Lyman seem to be compatible. Also they advertise quite a range of rifles, surely the diameter of the receiver ring must vary a bit between makes, opinions?

Brother_Love, have you had a chance to shoot the new setup yet? I've never handled a Redfield peep sight but they sure look well made and folks sure rave about them. Is that a 30S model?

No, I have not got to shoot it yet. I was released by the Dr. but 90 degree heat and high humidity make shooting miserable. Sweat running in my eyes hinder shooting.

Yes, that is a 30s. The action on it is slick as a greased pig.

Thanks
