Accurate 36-210BG mold

I am needing to decide on a suitable mold for my MSR in 358 Winchester. I have had good success with the Lee 2-cavity clone of the RCBS 200gn but the quality of the mold and the lack of available RCBS molds made a custom mold from Accurate an easy choice.

Looking at the catalog I see in the notes for the above mold that it is inspired by the RCBS design but will tweak some dimensions to compensate for the added diameter that powder coating creates.

I like large meplat designs as my intended loads must be suitable for hunting but the feed ramps of the barrel extension won't allow much more than the .2" of this design. I did enlarge and polish the extension of my Wilson Combat barrel to smoothly feed the Lee cast bullets.

Any other suggestions or experiences?

Great bullet, I have it in a two cavity RCBS and an aluminum 5 cavity NOE.

I absolutely LOVE the MP 200 & 220 bullets.

They look identical.

The Saeco 352 is a dandy 245g thats equally accurate. (I just like HP's)

I shoot the saeco.
but,,,, a little secret most don't know is the faster you push a cast bullet, the smaller the meplat you want.
a big flat meplat at 2300 fps turns meat into mush and damages the surrounding area into jello.

Yes, I’m aware of the destructive ability of big meplat cast and moderate my loads accordingly. For this same reason I don’t have any need for hollow point designs yet understand why some do, to each their own.

I researched the Saeco 245 and it is a good looking design that is well praised by many for hunting but of course nobody has it in stock. I see that Accurate has on offer the 36-245S which according to the notes is inspired by the Saeco. As a side note I’m building a M77 in 358 Norma and this design appears to be a good candidate for this as well.

At this time I’ll put some of the stimulus funds back into the American economy and order 2 molds from Tom. This new rabbit hole of the 35 calibers is sure getting expensive...

Here it is next to that Saeco.

Both have been very good bullets for me.

I bought a NOE 360-232 for my 358 WIN some time back as well. This is another favorite.
