Ya,i have starline.the bore almost looks like the spray on bedliner, for trucks.and it only looks that way for 2/3 of the bore.the muzzle end is smooth steel.

My brass has .010 thick walls,,and i applied a small taper crimp to my loads,,,measured out,.375.
So,,this is exact 9mm dimentions.
Rain and snow again today,,bummer.

Nope not getting in it ........the sizing that is .

I hope this works out for you . The only gravel road barrel I had was a Mossberg turkey 500 12 ga . The smith told me a 100 rounds of steel shot would fix it up . He was mistaken. I filled up with NAPA DGF . In my case it was whatever the coating was to make the jungle stripes on the barrel and action and was over sprayed inside . The graphite filled it up and slicked it over ..... 10-12 kpsi 12 ga is a long way from 35kpsi rifles but with PC it's closer than you think . The dry graphite won't hurt anything being an intentional powder fouling like deposit. With the fouling scrubber powders it might not stay put .

Wading in snow,,20-30mph winds, but i had to go shoot the rifle!!!

Only at 25 yards,but the rcbs 200 fn,,shot into a bug hole.the 147 mp bullet,shot about 7 inch groups,and fed awful.

Forgot my glasses, couldnt see which way to crank the reddot knobs, then the battery started to die,,wow,,,,head back to the house, throw more wood in the fire,,,,the gun makes noise, about all i learned,,wish spring would hurry up and get here!

On a better note,,,i just got done polishing the chamber, and scoped the bore, after 50 rounds.
She shines like a new penny!!whatever that shit was, blew itself out!!
This is really one of the nicer ruger bores, ive peeked into,,have high hopes for it!

And,,it has a .0025 per side nk clearence with .010 thick brass and .357 bullet.
.358 throat
.3555 bore
Sometimes cold windy days give ya time to tinker around with this stuff!

Must not be the same reamer they use on the American. A 0.356" bullet is the throat on mine. And a 0.355" bore. The throat lead is also VERY short. Almost like a 9mm pistol nowadays. Be careful of that 200gr bullet. It will hit pressure FAST.

What powders are you using?

And that stuff in the bore is in all Nitride barrels. It is leftovers from the heat treat. They must not clean their barrels afterwords. Some makers clean them but most don't. It usually takes a lapping to get it out.

Ya,,when i first see this stuff in the bore,,i hit it with rem clean abrasive,,,didnt touch it,,but after 50 rounds of lead and jacketed,,its gone.

Im using 4227,and 4198.

This barrell has a quite long throat in it.

Im gonna have to go out on my own this summer, and find my own loads for vv130 and vv133,,,i suspect that them powders will be exellent in this gun, especially vv130.

Btw,,,this ruger has a pretty nice trigger,,2 stage,4lbs on the dot.
I post all this stuff, because someone might be looking to get into one of these plastic inventions.
All my life,i never even considered owning a ar,dont know what happened inside my brain!

Was finally able to do some shooting, with the 350.200 rcbs bullet feeds flawless, and took it up to pretty near max,id say....shoots around an inch at 50 yards,,barrell doesnt lead, life is good!!
This foolish thing dont kick anywhere near like a 35 marlin.
Someday,,the snow will be gone, then ill do some chrono work.
I consider this thing a turbo charged 357 mag.

Think the 350 legend is where im gonna look, for my first ar.
The ruger looks like a safe bet,but i know nothing about these plastic wanna be rifles.
I should be able to use the molds i have,so thats a plus.

I havent fired a jacketed bullet in years, with this legend,i should be able to shoot cast.

Anybody have any comments on this, before i drop a thousand dollar bill down?
Check out “ Bear Creek Arsenal” before you buy. I talked to another shooter a few days ago. He said quality is good. I checked. Prices were very reasonable. Harles

My advice after seeing over 500 BCA AR's in 350 Legend is to run away, never ever buy a Bear Creek in the 350. Their barrel extension is down right dangerous and they are hit or miss (mostly miss) on feeding.
