Huge fan of the Ultradot here. They work and they hold zero.
I'm also a huge fan of 2 MOA dots, currently very hard to find. The Holosun sights have a 2 MOA dot option with the big circle around it, very nice, but the configuration of their units is better suited for a carbine than a revolver.
My biggest disappointment was with the Leupold Deltapoint. The triangle is a dull orange color, very hard to see, and is crooked. It's actually extremely difficult for me to actually "aim" with the thing trying to use the point of the triangle. Dots are tough to beat for hunting, you just put it on the kill zone and pull the trigger. For target work, the trick with a dot is to make a black circle about 2" bigger in diameter than the dot at whatever range you're working. Center the circles and squeeze.
