Bullets for .30-30 Ruger No. 1?

I've had little success with the oft recommended Ideal/Lyman designs (-041, -291,-284) in the .30-30 Marlin #336 that I once owned. However, Saeco #315 and its clones, sized to fit your #1 was the accuracy champ. Even without the gas check, it is an accurate shooter as long as you control its velocity.

funny how we just throw numbers around and most everyone knows what they are without having to go look.
Littlegirl asked about emptying the shelf the other day before moving the new one in and was having a panic attack about them getting mixed up.
i was like,,, meh.
then started pointing and rattling off mold numbers, and the specific guns they were for.
she knows my note taking is worse than writing it down in the dirt and just rolled her eyes.

I’ve got to add the RCBS 180 to your list of usual suspects and agree about the Seaco 315.
Ben suggested that I try a clone from Tom and I saved up and ordered a 5 cavity with 2 GC and 3 PB. Nice mold and trouble free loading and fit. My main interest was the 30-30 Winchester 94 but works well in others as well.
Thanks Ben for the advice.
