BTW, was Dillon that told me tough sh*t when I called them and told them my Dillon tumbler quit. They told me they would be happy to sell me a new motor for more than the tumbler cost new.
Yeah, they did that to me too. First time, they sent a new tumbler. When that one died they said no more. I pulled the motor and found the manufacturer and called them. Woman that answered said the factory was closing and moving offshore. This was her last week. She took the motor info and my address. A week later a new motor arrived. That one is still going strong. I put new bearings in the old motor, so I have a spare.

i don't trust anything electric beyond the last time i used it.
the next time it may not turn on, or off, or just stop doing anything in the middle of doing something.

Now you me thinking that I really should of kept my old rotary phone.

That ^^^^^^^^^^^ is my response when someone asks why I don't have a laser sight on handgun grips, or a red dot sight, or a lighted reticle on my rifle scopes. For Pete's sake, I have trouble trusting any mechanical device and I can usually understand them--why would I trust something made up of "black boxes" that can't be seen or repaired?

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Reading all this makes me quite happy I never put any $ into anything electronic other than heat sources for melting as far as reloading goes.

I 've been using the Sig Sauer line of electronic red dots. The reflex Romeo 1 came on my P-320 RX compact with the shake awake feature. I've change out the battery, once in the last five years. BTW, that my house gun and I never turn the battery off. It's on one of the lowest settings for low light use. The P-320 has suppressor height night sights............. visible back up sights, that can be acquired though the reflex lens.

Also, have three of their Romeo 5 red dots. One on my X-bow and on two pistol caliber carbines. They also have the shake awake feature and are left on all the time. Haven't had to change the batteries, as yet. For the money, I don't think one can do better for a 2 MOA dot sight. I like them and trust them. The last one, I paid little over $80, new.

BTW, I also own multiple Trijicon reflex/red dots.............that cost 4-5X's as much.

confused.pngI have at least a half dozen CT Laser grips on my CC pieces. Wouldn't be without them. They are back up, anyways. They don't interfere with holstering or keep you from using the open sights. Wonderful, for low light target acquisition.

Same, with lighted reticles on conventional scopes. If the dot, lighted reticle or battery fails, you still have the conventional crosshairs. Best of both worlds.

Best thing since sliced bread.

You can have your cake and eat it too.

My only red dot is on one of my AR's. It is mounted so the pop up rear receiver sight is visible and very usable through the red dot, if it is turned on or not. They advertise the battery life on the thing as 50,000 hours. I turn it off when in the safe but the same set of batteries are going strong for the past 8yrs. I don't have to depend on the red dot, but have come to appreciate it.

Hummm. Every three years I replace the batteries in my Ram, Wife's Jeep and the generator. They start every time.

Well the scales showed up. Both seem to check out ok so far. If you stay with the 0.1gr scale like the rcbs they are exact on with it. But both of these I got go to 0.01gr. The hundredths is off a little but I am not that concerned that far down on powder. One scale uses a usb port to power it. I am going to plug that in and leave it that way. The other scale is going on the shelf for back up.

I DON'T do electronic reloading gadgets, but do have some illuminated reticles.

The original battery in my '98 F150 was replaced in 2012! I replaced it again before I sold it in 2020.

yep,, got the best they sell, i also bump it with citric acid at least once a month.

the carbon dioxide geyser that goes off every hour 3 minutes after the hour all day and night kind of points out how hard the water is here.
