Commercial Cast Bullets

I have used Matt's Bullets in several calibers and weights with complete satisfaction. I have 2K Dardas 200 grain 45 H&G 68 clones on the floor beside me. I had all the brass sized, primed, expanded and ready to load when I did a number on my back a couple of months ago. I am still trying to work up the nerve to wrestled all the lead bullets around and restart the loading.

That is pretty much the only commercial cast I use, although usually Missouri
Bullet Company, our nearest supplier.

For most ordinary training and practice purposes (not a target match) I
find them perfectly adequate and saves a bunch of time for other things.

Hope your back behaves, that can be very debilitating.

I was happy with Montana Bullet Works offerings, then Dave quit for awhile. They are back in business again with Dave as a consultant, I can't offer any opinion on the new owners product. If one is going to buy cast bullets, they offer several options most casters do not.
I've purchased from Dave a couple times (I traded him the mold I designed for the .45 bullet in my avatar, in exchange for casting a bunch of bullets). He did VERY nice work, but had to quit due to spinal issues prohibiting heavy lifting. I've subsequently dealt with the new owners a couple of times and the quality has remained top shelf. Victoria's packaging has been extremely meticulous (maybe just because they're new at it, but bullets I've received from her so far have been neatly stacked in rows/layers and tightly packaged, not just dumped loose in the boxes). Dave would do some custom alloy work, but his standard offering was Lyman #2, either air cooled or heat treated. He lubed with LBT Blue. That was still the case when I purchased last. Since my last purchase I see they've changed up the website and make mention of a custom alloy... Would need to inquire to see what that is now, but they've been really great folks to deal with in the past.
