Deer/vehicle collisions

When we drove through Texas over the Summer, I commented to Mrs. smokeywolf that all the pickup trucks and SUVs have bumper/grill guards. She said, "why do you suppose that is?" I told her, it's because Texas has wildlife and they don't always use the crosswalks.

It's not for looks or because they don't give away the accessories. Something you won't see a lot of around here (or for long if you do) is the little JC Whitney powder-coated conduit jobbies, they cause more damage than they prevent.

I bow to the king. :D

Lots of close calls, but no deer. Hit a cat this spring on the freeway, close call with many others birds, yotes, dogs, kids, & cars all run right in front of the truck & stop. Bigger the truck the faster they stop in its path. :(
