No doubt Ian, no doubt.
I have learned to throw stuff away more and more. No point saving it because I will find it years later and wonder what he hell it is!

Worked an hr yesterday, and will hit it some more today on shop cleaning. What's kinda funny is,the cabinet shop stays by far cleaner than the machine shop. There's RARELY anything more than a dial indicator, tape,or some bit of tooling laying on any of the equipment. The "big" TS is a Oliver 4060 clone(long story on the new Asian Oliver's) that's a 16" saw with a top as big as they get....yup,only thing on it this a.m. is a note pad with part specs.

Next pce is in the shop foyer and stays clean.1941 37L pneumatic Pexto sheet metal sheer.Only thing that ever gets put on it not work related is daily mail and shoptruck keys.

Next is '45 W/T (Walker Turner) radial drill press. This has the enclosed base,32 speeds and a T table that's huge.....used it yesterday and the only thing on it was/is a air/hydraulic milling machine vise(which is what got used)...and the lathe "bed" of a 618 C-man/Atlas.It's got big vee blocks,1-2-3 blocks and some assorted clamp fixturing. But stays clean. The big 1200 W/T drill press has a nice tooling cabinet below. The production table stays relatively clean, bunch of T nut stuff around the edges. But the Heinrich 8" quick vise is in constant states of fixturing.

So here, the equipment stays pretty "clean" wrt junk being laid on.Did clean a 5g bucket of swarf out of the bigger lathe though. That's where the wood side is far better than the metal side......super duper dust collection,no holds barred. There ain't any mess....gets sucked up.
