Klaus:
have you ever just looked at the rifle?
like,,,, really looked at it.
the soft rounded edges, the flow of the lines, how none of the corners are sharp and square?
like everything was worked over gently and with a flow most rifles don't have.

Looks good, shoots well.

I have a several DWM Mausers from 1895 to 1908, all are very well made products.
Clearly they were doing good work, left these fine artifacts for us to enjoy.

@ thx to all for your replies

well it is a very nice made rifle for a very cheap price i got it....
the only bad point i found is that at the underside of the Barrel are marked with corrosion pits, not very deep but more marks available.
I have sand them and protected with Anti Rust. Finaly bed the Barrel with Waterpump Grease .
Due to it`s intense used in the African region until 1960 th`s a lot of these Rifles have this kind of corrioson marks as well.

here another pic from the Barrels end in direction of the 100m target
a nice looking for you gents, to show you 20170415_101844_resized.jpg20170415_101849_resized.jpg20180130_135531.jpg what a german surveyor do understand under a " Shooting Range Saftey

That is a range that took some engineering and money to build. Impressive set up.

I would almost get claustrophobia [woo hoo spelled it right first try] shooting there.
the wind has got to be non existent or brutal.

Got two of these fine milsurps, one still original and the other is a custom rebarrel in 7x57. They are smooth as butter working the bolt.

Word of caution.... it takes three hands to reassemble the bolt if you happen to break it down. YouTube is your friend.

MY oh MY! A good ol' fashioned Deutche Schutzenhaus! What city? Looks almost identical to the one in Worth am Rhein I was a member of/shot at '86-'89 when I was in the Army in Germany!

Oscarflytyer, my oh my you are right it`s placed around Cologne Countryside Area in direction of the " Eifel"

its an expensive building with high standart which are german surveyor do understand under a " Shooting Range Saftey
for me and other buddys utterly disapointing, if we have a look to the open spaces in the US or to the ranges in Switzerland or the UK we feel like a bird in the cage .... but better this kind as nothing do have for our hobby....
