I dispise Fakebook or any other so-called social media platforms as I have and lead a real life. Why would I “friend request” or “like” people from my past when I disliked them back then? I actually have a slightly modified logo with an impudicus digitus represented. I won’t post it here as it probably violates the decency code of this forum.

I only have a FB account because I have a daughter. Seems if you want to talk with an out of state daughter you have a FB account. Friend requests? I delete probably 10 a day. There is no such thing as an internet friend on FB. Every person on my FB page is either family or someone I actually know in person. The only other real advantage to FB for me is that it does help keep track of and remind me of birthdays.

There's a FB account out there somewhere that I started years ago. I was encouraged by some family and friends. Had 3 "friends" one being a SIL, figured out quickly when I was bombarded with "friend" requests that this was not for me for the same reasons BliksemE300 says.
Don't do S. Media. If you want to talk to me, text, call or e-mail. Before all of this electronic forms of contact came to be we used to drop by to see how a friend or family member was doing.

My wife keeps track of birthdays and such, but still makes me sign each card. Been considering getting a stamp made of my signature. That would cure that problem.

I've never done Face Book, nor any other such, and don't know why I ever would. Two of my three e-mail friends died and the third has vanished. This place is the full extent of my Internet socializing.

I have exactly zero friends on facebook now. I only have the account because of work and the need to monitor and sometimes post on our comany page. People and posts make them money and I decided I’m not giving them any of mine.

I do a bit on Facebook, mostly staying in touch with guys from the old shop and add a few bits to a reloading and casting group that has LOTS of new hobbyists with honest questions, demystifying the gunrag sorcery one poster at a time.

I did stumble upon a semi-local range site that bears some investigation. Rifle, pistol, and archery bays as well as trap fields on weekends. 17 miles from my doorstep to theirs. I'll know more in a day or two, a guy from work belongs to the club and though the annual dues are a bit spendy, so is gas to the desert twice a month.

Closest I've been to FB is when my wife hands me her phone to read something posted there by one of her friends. One look told me I'm not missing anything. We have a group message thing with direct family members to keep track of family gatherings/invitations. About 20 people have my cell number, most work related. Hard telling how many have my shop number and that's plenty to keep track of.

No Social Media for me! I do have an Instagram for collecting ammo and such but only go to it like once a quarter. Just not interested in showing off my stuff anymore. But look if you want to . . . VintageAmmoMaster

THIS website here is the best "social" outlet that I have or want.

I joined FB to keep up with my daughter some years back. I have found it useful to keep up with friends, old and new, former classmates at various places of higher education, parishioners from the various churches I have served. There are also many shooting and gun friends. I don't accept or keep "friends" who are argumentative, profane or trollish in behavior. I prune the friends list on a regular basis. It is a good platform for me to continue what I have been doing for a very long time. I have never had any problems with FB censoring anything I have posted. However, I do have a number of older "church ladies" for friends and keep the place clean and tidy in respect for them. I post quite a bit of Christian related material, political opinion and just general observations of the country, the world and all it's inhabitants. All in all, it has proven to be a good place for me.
