First Arsonal mold

After seeing other peoples report molds i had high hopes for my first one. But the high hopes didn't last long after i got the mold.
The first problem i saw. The under side of the sprue plate was totally covered with tool marks. They must use some kind of a circuler cutter to flatten the bottom of the plate. Because there identical curved lines etched into the underside of the SP, an their was no bluing applied just bare metal. The etched lines could be felt when sliding your fingernail over the lines. I was able to remove the lines by polishing the underside of the plate with using 400 / 600 / 1000 grit abrasive paper mounted on glass. But that took 1.5 hours.
When i took the screw out to remove the SP it felt like their was sand in the threaded hole. Their was a washer on the SP screw but it was a flat thin washer. An not a wave washer.
I heated the mold 3 times in the oven washed it with Dawn twice. Then i went to casting. All cavities dropped very easy. But then my luck changed again. As cast all 3 cavities cast at .4505. The only bright spot is that when PC the bullets measure just over 452.
I guess Monday i will have to call and see what they will do to fix the problems.
