Does anyone know of a company that makes sporter stocks for Carcano Rifles?
I have a beater one that I would like to rebarrel and restock for my
Granddaughter.

Not sure but have you checked Boyds Gunstocks? Maybe Gunstocks too?
I have a few boyds and they are functional. I find I need to alter them to my liking but generally NOT for fitment to firearm.

I actually have TWO in que now awaiting funds to pull the triggeron them.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I have no idea if anyone makes new sporter stocks for Carcanos. I'd watch Ebay for a used one myself.

This thread is a interesting coincidence.

Two nights ago my gunshow table sharing friend (who has a stock duplicator) called me. I haven't heard from him for 2+ years. I had wondered if he died? as he wasn't at the last two local gunshows. But it turns out he moved to northern MN (north end of Ottertail County). He use to live 5 miles from me :( Funny he didn't tell me he was moving, I could have helped, But he may still be pissed that I didn't tell him about my 2015 gun auction? I had a couple guns on that auction that he built, that he sold me, I guess he thought he should get first right of refusal? The Auction happened quick and was organized, start to finish in 3 months and just didn't think of calling him, my bad I guess? Anyway, two nights ago, he called looking for Primers and 6.5 Grendel brass. I was able to help him with one of those items.

I have referred many people to him, for stock work over the years, so I asked him if he is still doing it. He says yes, but only high end stuff. He said to me, do NOT refer any more people, as he has enough work...also it seems the people I have referred, all expected to pay commercial production prices for custom work....those were my words, I figured I better not repeat his words, in case any of the people I referred are reading this, LOL.

Anyway, with that aside, I did ask him if he had any stock cutting guides for Carcano (I seen your post on the other forum, a few days ago), he said no Carcano guide, and didn't expect anyone to want a custom stock for a old war horse (that's when I got the "don't refer anyone" speech.) So, if you were wanting a custom stock, you'd need to ship him a existing stock for use as a guide. I didn't ask what his new prices were, but his old price was $125 to just turn on the machine. He always preferred to sell the blank, as there was profit in the sale of wood. He has some nice stuff, but those prices started at $400 (that was a few years ago, no doubt more $$$ now).

Anyway, there is a little story for you all to enjoy :)
