I have not seen a 44 revolver that wanted a .429 bullet. Mine all want .431-.432

many 44 specials want a 432-3 bullets also.
most of the Lipsey's guns needed the tight spot in the throat removed and a 432~ bullet to do their best work.

I have several Smith 629's and 2/ea 69' s that all have cylinder throats that measure .4285 to .429.

Such conditions are outside my experience entirely. With that kind of luck, you should play lotteries.

for some weird reason the 44's have always been all over the map.
it wouldn't shock me to find a 44 with a 426 barrel on it.
