I'm anxious to try this NOE 7mm cast bullet out in the 7X57mm rifle that I should have in 2 weeks.

I was given a few of those last year, and they shot great in my .275 Rigby 1903 Springfield. The Manson .275 reamer I used let me snug those up just right in the chamber. Case was filled to the middle of the neck with WW2 surplus 4831, 2550 f/s from the 26 inch barrel. You will love the bullet. That was the fastest I ever shot a cast bullet, BTW.

Good luck with your beautiful rifle and your «flying pencils»!
The bullet looks great. It might need a bit of velocity to stabilize, maybe?

True.
It is new to me.
May take some experimenting on this one.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Give that a 358009 nose and you'd have a heck of a hunting bullet! Very cool!

I'll be watching this with interest. I shoot a lot of cast in 7x57 and love the cartridge.

I have one of the older discontinued RCBS molds that is nominally like 168 grains, I nee to dig it out and give it a try.

I never put it to much of an accuracy test, but used a hollow pointed 287308 for deer hunting with mine and it worked well. My rifle has an aftermarket barrel, but they seem to have maintained the long throat so it seems to like the long bullets.
