Im self banning eBay for a while!!!

After grabbing that Saeco 353 I found a RCBS 45-300 swc mold. I also have been watching for this mold. Its the .452 version the FN is the .458. Made THAT mistake couple years ago!! But its a good useful mold so I kept it too.

This one looks unused!! But I paid a new price plus. I figured I was about 35-40 to the good on last mold and this one was discontinued and not seen often. So I decided it was OK to pay a lil
More. Last few minutes the mold jumped over 100. I added ten more dollars a d waited. 3 sec left I sent my top bid and won with 7$ and change to spare.

The RCBS 45-300-FN, meant for .45/70s and .458s, sized down to .453" shoots well from a .45Colt Ruger BH.
I have sized a few 457lymans down but not this RCBS. But its a good lookin Bullet!!
I bought the fn from a older gentleman on a forum. As I remember, he didn't know and couldn't tell me what he had. I took a chance as I have 45/70's as well. I lost but gained a nice 45/70 bullet.
I have wanted this mold for a while. But not finding I bought a MP & LEE 300. Both are good but both specialized.
The LEE is OK in a revolver but needs to be seated deeper in a rifle chamber.
The MP is a beauty but its a "RUGER ONLY" bullet so again... Revolver only. I could shoot as single shot in any of coarse BUT must be shot cause will not come out if still loaded. (Very long OAL)
So my levers have been shunned with heavy bullets and thats the exact place Id prefer to be able to use them!
So soon I should be able to!

May just be me, but it looks a little like a Lyman 358156 that has been " up - scaled ".

I've become quite fond of my aluminum moulds, but I have two RCBS moulds which were perfect from the word go and have remained so. Can't go wrong INVESTING in one of those.

Hello Red!!
Arthritis is a rough cookie I know. But so far (knock wood) I can still cast with my Steel Arsenal 8 & 10 cav molds. So my 4 cav Brass MP are a breeze. This one is a bag a feathers in comparison.

The Saeco is at my local post office. Might get sorted, so I can have today. But def tomorrow. The 45 RCBS could be here tomorrow, but more likely Monday.

Im ready ta cast with it!!

I believe I may have found sellers reason for selling this one. As well as reason it was so good of condition.

It drops very fat bullets! .457/.455

I size to .454 and I do so hours after casting. I also powder coat so that fat diameter becomes even larger! The sized with minor difficulty @ .454. Maybe would have been issue for .002 more restriction.
If these was wanted @ .452 Id likely need to do in steps.

Im OK with this, I probably wont shoot large quantities. I did check it in all 45 Colt chambered firearms and its perfect as expected. So I am happy.

My alloy dropped them almost spot on 300g too so should aughta be close to when RCBS calls for. (I realize slight diff in dia from hardnesses happens)
