This 5-cavity NOE 311041 showed up in the mail recently, and I just broke it in tonight. It is one of the easiest casting moulds I own! A randomly chosen sample weighed 177.1 grains (as-cast, no GC or lube) and was ROUND at .3125". Insert big smiley face here. :)

Looks like a good design for the Marlins. I have an ancient, Lee group buy improved copy of the venerable Lyman 311041 which also has a long intermediate band in front of the crimp groove (.305" diameter) similar in appearance to what NOE has done there. That little band pilots up superbly in barrels that have a decent ball seat and shoots extremely well compared to the Lyman example I have.

Yes they are!

Looked at the same mold during the 4th sale. Should be a nice shooter.

hmm. that has a lot shorter nose than my lyman 041.
maybe that's why I struggle finding places for mine to work but where it does it works very well.

I got the two banger back last year I think...does cast beautifully....the top band also runs the same diameter as the drive bands....could help, could not help depending on what you use them in...

You'll let us know..right..? :)

Well that's stinky. I guess they could be bumped to a taper in a .308" H-die if necessary.

that marlin might like 311, especially if it has the typical bulbous ball seat area most marlin lever guns have.
