Not sure anyone is interested but here is my Pid setup. I think I got about $70 bucks in it.
Glad I put in volt/ampere meter. Have used it to check several things with it. Lee pot plugs
into black plugin under cover on side under probe plugin.

I had a friend that built me one. What a boon to my bullet quality!

He is now passed on and I cherish that gift.

Looks great! Would you mind scribbling out a schematic and a parts list?
I'll see what I can do/ find the time, lol, Ian. I'm retired and all you retired guys know you got twice as busy the day that happened!

I lied I guess. The $70 was before I decided to do the plug-ins and meter. Plus I now see I got charged for two boxes and got one. Figures. I didn't know that until I looked up this stuff. Schematic can be found all over the net plus it is on the directions. But give me a hollar if you have a ?.

Thank you!

I have picked up a few thermocouples here and there over the years for various projects, last few have been Uxcell ones from Jeff's Dollarama and they're pretty good.

Just set the hot plate on wide open and plug it into the PID.
Here's how I hooked my TC for my hotplate. Have a 1/4" aluminum plate with one of those TC's they always send on ebay. I set the hotplate temperature to keep a mould at casting temperature which it seems to hold ± 1° F. I'd think a TC with a loop type end would work but had this thing on hand.

A gentleman called Elvis Ammo (on utube) did a how to on these some years back. There is a number of other folks who have made excellent how to videos with all parts and sourcing as well. These might reinforce this excellent post.
