What is the recoil like with the muzzle brake? What does it compare to?
The 285's are not too bad. Like a real stout 30-06 in a light rifle. The 300gr's at 2700+ get old after 10 or so rounds from prone.
That's just me. I don't care for too much recoil. The rifle weighs around 16 pounds so that helps a lot!

Mine is all wooded and hilly. No mowing for me!
All I see is a nice flat section of green grass. Rest can't be all bad.

No. It's not. I thought you were messing with me for something you saw! lol
Not always an ass. Just usually?

I don't have a neat, tidy yard but I do admire them.

Welcome to the board Dale. I shoot a CZ527 in .221 Fireball. Neat little round. I don't shoot much cast in it. Mainly 40gr Nosler BT's with Lil Gun.

Waco, I had my M77 223 rebarreled to 221FB after shooting the barrel out hunting sage rats.
10K+ will do that.
I had a 1-12 twist heavy Benchmark barrel installed
I figured the 221FB will be easier on barrels.
I will 1/4-1/2 MOA.
Like you, I have not shot cast in it yet...dale
