Long time test of BR/BLL

I Did not record when I started using Ben's Red, and BLL, but it was not to long after Ben posted the formula, so probably a couple years or close to it. I use Bll as an overcoat/incapsalant for every thing I cast. I lube with Ben's Red, for most of my 30 cals. As I have a whoop of Lar's white lable, that I ordered before Ben produced BR, I use it, (mostly 2500) with Bll overcoat with all of the white lable lubes.

Now all that said. In that time frame, I have never had to clean a rifle barrel. I have once in awhile just to see what a patch looked like, run a clean patch thru, and had it come out near clean. That includes my milsurps. Does take a round or two to warm the bbl when I shoot again, but that is most acceptable. But that is often true with jacketed as well. I do clean handguns, which show sometimes some leading near throat, but rest of the bbl is like the rifle bbl, slick and clean. On a percentage of multi groove rifle bullets, I have used just 3 coats of Bll, no other lube, and had no leading. Two great lubing products.

So, Bottom line is: A tip of the Derby to Ben, and his tinkering, and experimenting on Ben's Red, and Bll, as well as the other goodies he comes up with. Keep at it Ben!!!!!

Good to hear Ben's lubes are working for you. I use Ben's Red and BLL with equal results from both.

I've tested BLL in my rifles ever since Ben released the formula and have been amazed with the performance.
I killed my deer last season with a BLL coated bullet from my .308 and haven't touched the rifle since.....if the season opened tommorrow, there is no doubt in my mind where my first shot will hit.

That kind of confidence only came after a lot of testing over time, but it's never failed me despite what kind of weather i take it out in.
Yes... i will check the "sight in" before hunting again...still no doubt where it will hit though. It's been like shooting jacketed bullet performance for me...it's just always on.
