Lyman 225462 mold

This is the new mold I got. Bullets have fins. Why is this. It seems to be closing tight.. using linotype in it. I scrubbed it good twice. Temp is around 700 +or -. Any suggestions.. thanks.. johnny

It isn't closing tight. Find and fix the burrs.

Mold temp is low...

22 is tuff to get temp up on the mold, takes me a few heat ups before they get ready to start making nice bullets...

Some times I just fire up the pot & heat up a small cal. Mold just to get a heat cycle in it .

Is this a brand new, never used, current production Lyman made mold?
if not, what is it precisely?
