Midway brand .44 Mag brass?....

Years ago I bought a bunch of reloading components from a friends dad. Powder, primers, brass, etc...
Among the stuff I got was 300 pieces of new 44 Mag brass with the Midway head stamp.
Does anyone have any opinions on this stuff? Is the quality okay?
Looks pretty good. I just remembered I had it. Thanks in advance.

I think Starline made it for Midway.
Could be wrong, my forgetter is about the only thing that still works!

I got a couple of boxes in a trade years ago. Seems to be fine to me,
no noticable problems when it is in the general rotation with other brass.
For serious hunting loads, I use new Starline, but for most ordinary uses
Win, Rem or Midway get used, no obvious difference in performance or life noted.

If it is Starline it's probably pretty good, everything I've gotten from Starline has been fine. I know that at one time Starline would custom headstamp brass if you bought a sufficiently large amount. Midway could easily buy enough to meet that minimum.

I have a few pieces of midway brass that gets run through the system I got no problems with it.
I doubt it is star-line it just doesn't have the right weight, anneal, or color.
it's not as heavy as CBC, or Fiocchi, it isn't as soft as Remington.
I would weigh it and measure it against some Winchester or Federal cases and see where it lies.

Starline made the original FA 454 brass marketed by Freedom Arms and head stamped FA 454. My best guess is the Midway 44m is also Starline, they have made a lot of brass over the years to others head stamp specs.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
I still have a fair amount of Midway marked 38 Spl & 357 mag brass. Midway quit offering it a long time ago IIRC.

I also have 100 357 mag cases marked "Bob" & "357 Mag". These were from a special run Midway sold a long, long, time ago. There were also 44 Mag cases marked "Elmer", as I recall, but I never bought any of them.
