So, I been wantin a Lyman 358430 LIGHT WEIGHT for a while.

Im not really a RN profile fan. (In cast) I have long liked the RN Speer and Hornady Jacketed bullets for my style hunting. But dislike most RN cast... Note-able exceptions are tge Lyman 358009, 310440 and this 358430. So far only in the 195g version. That bulbous shape is just appealing to me. Usually I like MEPLATs and love the looks of the LBT style bullet.

Anyhow few times I have seen the light bullet wrongly advertised for sale. (Always was the three groove 195g)

Last week a seller with alot of molds ta sell has put one up and so far its cheap. Coarse Im advertising it here for them and maybe bidding against one of you guys but I sincerely hope not.

If I can get for fair cost Ill be happy. Mold looks OK not exceptional with some
Corrosion on its base and 1/4 way up blocks but not into cavities.

Colses Monday.

Ya always gotta be careful about "advertising". I learned that lesson as a young adult.
.
I got a funny story about it, and it's long, but I'll try an make it short.
When I was 20, I took a job at a Electronics factory as a shipping clerk (my first job out of college). I had my diploma as a Electronic Tech and hoped to work into that job at this factory, so I hung out a lot with the Tech's there, they were very friendly. My Dad was a Post master at a small town. He told me he seen a "internal" notice about a opening for entry level Electric Technician at the Minneapolis Post office. There was a required 8 hour test to qualify for the job, it was scheduled in a couple weeks. I told all my new buddies in the Tech department about this job opening and test.
Fast forward 2 weeks later at the Testing location. There was about a hundred people there. I recognised four of new found Tech buddies there taking the test also.
I guess the pay was about double of what they made...it was about quadruple of my shipping clerk pay, LOL.
BTW, none of us got the job.

I gotta go look. I might have both the 155 and the 195 in older 4 cavity moulds.

37$ pretty fair. I also spied a RCBS 41-220 I have been thinking about since borrowing. Been casting two RCBS molds here and tbey just work beautifully pule always seem ta be shooters... someone else was wantin it too. (Hope no one here) It was 17/18$ and finished off 41$ but still very fair.
Seller didnt combine ship... But even so 106$ for both is fair cost for iron two cav molds today.

More once they arrive later next week I suspect.

Seller didnt combine ship
What.... maybe I live in a different world.

I always ask for shipping to be combined when appropriate, have never been turned down.
Also if a seller is asking too much for shipping and obviously using shipping costs to pad his profit margin, I pass and look elsewhere.

Congrats on the new kid(s).

He responded to me and said that he did offer combine shipping. But you had to wait for him to give you an invoice. I paid the invoice when eBay told me pay this invoice he told me it cost him too much money and he couldn't be bothered. He was sick and tired of telling me. He would not refund because people don't follow simple directions, and then said to go away and leave them alone!!! I didnt cost him money, he made10 extra dollars out of me.
I thanked him for allowing me to get to know, him a little better, and told him he'd go far with such a professional business attitude.
At the end of the day, 53$ ea is still fair cost. Did bug me a little, Ill take the hi road he will answer for himself one day.

......and those two molds will cast like a dream.

Cut and paste the exchange and his responses in feedback and rate appropriately and honestly.

Who is the seller?

ebay sellers:
I have found some seller's tell me how difficult it is to change a price or refund "after the fact" or some other pay adjustment request.
THEN,
I have found seller's who say after a similar request, "yeah, I can do that"
.
now, I'm not sure if it's "difficult" or just an excuse, but I have learned to make these type of requests before I click "Pay for item." There is no real need to click "Pay" in the first few minutes after a auction closes...waiting 24 hrs or so, is socially acceptable.
.
edit: CW, this wasn't meant to be a criticism on you, it's just my concurring that some sellers are jackwagons and when dealing with jackwagons, you gotta watch yur own six.

Took it constructive.

I did contact him before the end of the auction about two days before actually. He never got back to me until after I paid.

I have been a seller on eBay since pretty much the beginning of eBay. I have refunded people dozens of times it's not an issue at all. If it cost me much, it was not enough to worry about. Maybe if I had thousands of transactions it would've been a little different story on a little harder to figure out get it right… It struck me that he's a kid and not very professional. But having worked for the general public I do know that they can get under your skin.

When he first told me that it was a problem, or it cost him money or he couldn't do it I forgot his wording, I told him that it's very easy to do and if you don't do it it's by choice. Not because it's a problem. It likely got under his skin... set the tone so to speak...

I had two bad purchases from this guy and had e-Bay get involved. Got my money back and swore not to deal with him again .
Not suprised.

This one mold may have issues. But maybe not. Just looking at pice appears rounded corners on upper side under sprue. Seems a bit of gap but could be pic, angle, no handles, who knows. Also close up shows some debris/ corrosion on faces...
It could be nuttin. I took a chance.
RCBS looked perfect.

Purchased one mold from him a couple years ago, everything went well. But the last time I tried to bid, I had been blocked me, have no idea why (still am) Sent him an email....... crickets. Ebay tells me they cannot assist, it's up to the seller... Guess we could "Bud Light" him. Sorry, 30 years in customer service working with corporate execs of multi-national companies, I have little to no tolerance for crappy customer service. Wasn't an option for me at work, not an option when it's my turn to be the customer.

I agree. I didnt think of the blocking. I have only done that once. But that person was s criminal. Tried to steal a knife get me to claim and split $$!!! Then claimed to be sueing me and had the post master. I contacted my lawyer snd went to our post master. In a few weeks zi found out from her that this man is known problem and they was diligently perusing him !! I saved recordings he left on my phone. They are out there!!

Anyhow, wonder if Im now blocked too... Id buy again but know who/what Im dealing with. He sure gets allotta bullet molds!!

Molds arrived EARLY today!!!

Both got hot soapy soak and scrub.
Both got hose down with brake cleaner.

Both dropped NEARLY perfect Bullets straight out the gate!!

The 430 needed extra cleaning. Had some kinda funk on it. Scotch brite got it once it was hot.
