Just bought this one from my good friend D. Oates in Whitehall, WI.
It is an old NEI, ( hopefully made my Walt ). Double Cavity , 195 grain, .44 cal. casting a bullet similar to the H & G 130. This bullet also resembles the Lyman 452488, ( of course it was a flat base and not a bevel base like this NEI. )
However, I've always seen that bullet style in .45 cal. for use in the .45 ACP - - never in .44 cal. for use in specials or mags ? ? For me at least, it seems to be an unusual style in .44 cal. persuasion.
This one might work well in my .44 Specials or with the throttle back in .44 Mag. brass ? ?
I never use dial calipers to measure my bullets. I always use a top of the line micrometer.
I hope Doug's measurements with his caliper is accurate, as this dia. would be VERY useful to me out of all my .44 cal. rifles and handguns.
