A dandy and handy looking rifle ben!
I have a grandson that is getting older.
When I bought the rifle, I thought that it might make a good deer rifle for the boy.
Kids who start out ( in my mind ) may very well be better off " safety wise " to have a little break open , single shot, Handi rifle.
If you open it and can see daylight through the barrel,
it is safe.
I figure the " Handi " is about as safe a rifle for a young shooter as you can find.
A transfer bar and a safety notch in the hammer.
Easy for a young shooter to get confused and hurt himself or someone else (......or worse )
with a pump, or auto with a magazine. They always say the
" unloaded ones " are the ones that will kill you.
