New 44Mag mold from Accurate

I got this a few months back. Still trying a few different loads with it. The only thing I've shot it out of so far is my S&W 29-5
8 and 10gr of Unique are what I've tried. Nothing serious yet, just informal offhand shooting from 25-100 yards. Busting clays and shooting 15"x15" steel out to 100. I have a new model SBH and a 1894 Marlin to try them in as well. These are ACWW sized to .431" and there was a mix of 2500 and BAC in the lube sizer. They seem to shoot pretty good. I need to bench it and do some real load development. Maybe step it up a bit with some 2400 or H110. More testing to come. image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg

Got enough flat nose on that sucker?

Looks good. I will be interested to hear how they do at 100 from the Marlin.

Yeah, that flat point should put the hurt on most anything. The Marlin has a 1:38" twist. That coupled with the almost wadcutter style bullet, I'm not sure how well they will group. I've only got the factory iron sights on it and to be honest, I don't think I've ever shot that thing for groups at 100 yards in the 16-17 years I've owned it. I'll give it a shot though. My guess would be a good snort of 2400 should fit the bill if I don't push them too fast.

waco, have you tested these boolits in your 1894 for feed reliability yet? I'm looking for a wide meplat for my 44 rifles and can't afford to by a mold that will only work in my redhawk. If it feeds reliably I may try one from accurate.

Those look like they will work pretty good . I use h110 and 2400 for my 44 mag loads . Have been thinking about trying 2400 in the 444 Marlin

I'd love to hear the WHACK when that one hits. Darn fine casting on your part.
