New group?

It seems we have an official Henry rifle owners group. Ian appears to be the charter member.

Yes, there's a secret handshake, ball cap, and everything, but Ian appears to be the ONLY member so far so it's kinda hard to practice.

Was hoping Allen, Gman, and Brother_love would join up, if they're into facetious esoterics.

jeez I made gunman #24 and was banned the same week.
I dunno...
sides I"m a rossi rifleman I can't just be jumpin around like that.
they wanted me to be a rifleman rider until I asked what kind of horses they had, that's when I found out they rode bikes.
I told them I sold my 10 speed when I joined the A.F., they were not amused.

I'm trying to join.

I just posted an update of my story at the other forum a couple days ago.

Funny Story:
Last year, my LGS ordered a Henry Big Boy in 41 Mag, at the 2016 Shot Show. I was told about this about 11 months ago. I check in at my LGS once in a while and ask if the Henry is here yet? always get a NOPE.
Fast forward to today, I stop by the LGS, of course the owners are gone (at this years Shot Show) and I ask the part-timers there, who were runnin the shop, I get "we're getting in a 41 Mag Henry?" they were no help, but they were kinda busy and had other things to do. So, I go check the racks and ...No Henrys in 41 mag.

I do like my Marlin 1894s (in 41 mag), I had one in 44 mag but I let that one go, Marlins specs for 41 solve the problems of their 44 specs (twist rate/groove dia)

I'm getting excited about the steel color case hardened receiver with 22"octagonal bbl in 45-70! Should have never requested that catalog!

No link, BL, just update your sig line. Looks like you're probably #3 after Gman.

Me too, except for the .45 Colt and if I ever get a 45/70 it will be a Henry just like the one Gman mentioned. Been ogling that one for a while.

Sure. Sign me up.

When it comes to leverguns, I am not real keen on Things Not New Haven Or North Haven. Savage 99? Maybe. This Henry Big Boy leap of faith is a lot like the same process that surrounded the Glock pistol--it took a while to take root and grow--I was NOT an overnight enthusiast, and the blingy brass receivers did nothing for me aesthetically--that kind of thing belongs in Las Vegas or Atlantic City, and looks like a prop gun for the DeCaprio "Romeo & Juliet". But the steel receivers, those look good to me. Brass is for cartridges, not the machines that use them.

I've taken a lot of leaps of faith with firearm purchases and been burned more times than not. Not being burned by my Henry purchase has been most welcome respite.

Not until I held mine in my hand and cycled the action did I truly realize just how well made this Henry is.

I've looked at the steel framed .357, but haven't decided to buy one. I have Marlins, 30-30, 35 Rem, 45-70, .357, and 44 Mag.

I might have had a Gunman number, but don't have a clue as to what it was.

Marlin 32-20, 357, 30-30, 44 mag, 45 Colt, 444 Marlin, and 45-70
Wish the 375 Win was a Marlin instead of a win 94

No loading gate? How uh-American is that? JMB used a loading gate and he was never wrong.

The 1866 Winchester was the "improvement" on the Henry design that included the loading gate. And yeah, forgot the 32-20.

38-40 and 41 mag are the two I'm missing.
had the 348 [oversized 92 called the 71] and don't miss it too much.
shoulda bought the 218 bee [marlin] when I seen it so the 375 wasn't so lonely.
I guess it sitting next to the other 375 isn't good enough for it.

A 25-20 is the one I want. Well, a 32 HR mag would be good too. Marlins, of course.
