I still need to point the pin on my new one, the on/off flow you get with the torpedo-shaped pintle they've always had is frustrating. Other than that it's a fine little unit with many good improvements over the old wooden-handled ones. I also have a mind to put a wooden knob on it and re-thread the metal one to go on top of the pintle for direct down-weight and easy adjustment without fiddling with a screwdriver.

A few years ago, I ordered the 20 pounder's upgrade kit and like it. I double nutted the rod, thinking it'd be easier to adjust by hand, rather than with a screwdriver, but manipulating it with a gloved hand wasn't. It may be that the nuts weren't too big enough to grasp effectively.

462, what is this upgrade kit you speak of? I'll do a search, but I've never heard of it. Thanks.

So far all I have done is put 10lbs of PB in it in ingots and melted them, I gotta find my molds. I'm out of projectiles for my .45 Colt.
