Anybody have any experience with the NOE 260 105 in the .250 Savage or .25-06 that they would like to share?

It's dated info now, but I had great results with a 100 grains NEI .259" bullet in a 250 Savage with 1-14" twist. 12.0 -14.0 grains of Alliant 2400 sparked by WLR or CCI 200 primers shot very well for me sized at .258". This 1930-made Savage 99 also did great work with Lymans #257420 and #257312 as well.

I have had great results in the .250 Savage Mdl 16 that has a 1:10 twist with the Saeco 25 100 and good results also in the .25-06 mdl 700 with a 1:10 twist and the RCBS 25 120. However, both are 2 cavity moulds and with my peripheral neuropathy I was looking for a 4c in aluminum to increase the speed and reduce the weight on my hands. So I ordered a NOE 260 105 in 4 cavity. When I ordered this mould the dwg showed all driving bands to be at .260. The mould as produced drops bullets that are only .254-.255 on the first driving band. I have not been able to get my 260 105 to shoot anywhere close to the Saeco 100 in the .250 Savage. So, I called Al and discussed it with him and he said that the dwg that I ordered from was wrong and that the first driving band was to be .254-.255. He said that was the original specification sent to him by Blammer and that he would change the dwg to agree with that specification. He has since done so.
Now, he hasn't offered to refund my money, nor have I asked him to do so, because neither of us knows if that slight difference in the FDB is the reason for this designs poor performance. That's the whole story, and why I am wondering if anybody else who has this design has been able to achieve MOA accuracy at least once in a while with it. I have not tried it yet in the .25-06, but I undoubtedly will once the weather warms up!

The only Noe mould I have is the light 263-63 I cast for my buddy Ed who uses it in his 257 Bob and 250 savage
He like light bullets and he shoots them very accurately

Does a fellow that used the handle "Blammer" on another forum, frequent this forum?
According to Al Nelson of NOE, Blammer sent Al the specs for the 260 105. I'd like to talk to him and find out why the FDB was specified to be .254-.255.

This is a very accurate bullet in my Sharps Borchardt .25 Ackley Improved with 1-10 twist. Cast of med. hard range scrap using Reloader #7 or Vihtavuori N130.

My rifle is the .25 Ackley Krag Improved. Full length .30-40 Krag case, necked to .25, body blown out with minimum taper.

What is the accuracy level that you have rather consistently obtained with the NOE 260-105FN in your 25 AI?

When I first got the rifle, I tried just about every quality jacketed bullet I could find seeking rifles accuracy potential. Best groups were 3/4" at 100yd.. I have been able to duplicate this...somtimes! With the NOE .260.
