Noe 311299

Good start. I don't have any .30-caliber NOE moulds any more because several I've cast with or owned are too fat on the nose for most of my rifles. Count on them being .001-2" larger with straight WW alloy than the drawing calls, which may be good for you or bad depending on what you're trying to fit. That mould should probably be called a 312302.

If you ever load for an AR, take everything you're learning now and do the exact opposite.

Powder coated 309-230 w h4198. Narrow enough nose to feed, profile that chambers easily.

This mold 311299 wouldn't work at all. Even w my bullet seated as far as I'm comfortable w...(base of bullet exposed to beyond the neck but lube grooves protected in neck) I get just the tiniest of kiss marks. Feeds easy w the bolt and closes easy but this bullet wouldn't prob make it in the ar15 game

the H-110 might be a bit on the funky side at that load.
your right where I'm at with AA#9 under the rcbs 165gr silhouette.
4227 is a good choice for the round, even sub-sonics with the 200gr weights. [and should function a pistol or carbine length tube no problem]
something faster burning at the lower speeds will work well especially in the bolt gun.

Shot it today at 50 and 100 yards

H110 9.0, 9.2, 9.4 gr
Federal primer rifle

9.0 was a disaster showing around 2 inch group 50 yd

9.2 was getting close but was at the upper limits of 1 inch 50 yd

9.4 cranked a 3/4 inch group at 50 so I sent 3 shots at 100 yards and got a 1 inch group.

No leading at all
