Permission to View Page or Perform Action.

I don't sign in often but today when I tried to access a thread in the Tips, etc section I got the following message:
You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action.

The thread concerned loading .38 Spec and .357 Mag. why would permission be required?

Damn, I will have to look into that. It should be readable, just not a thread that can be posted in.
I forwarded the issue to tech support. Once he has time to look at it I'm sure it will be corrected quickly.

Yeah, something is amiss for sure. You shouldn't even need to be logged in to read that section. I just loaded that page and had no problem so it definitely seems to be a Kevin thing. Stay tuned.

When I clicked on the file, it wouldn't open for me either. I downloaded it previously and it does require MS Word to view, so if you don't have Office you're screwed. I wonder of Outpost removed the file?

Hhmmm . . . Yeah. First time I didn't click on the file. Seems I don't have permission either. The file should be on our server so it should be there I would think.

Kevin . . . . . Help.

It is a permissions issue. File is still there.
I sent a PM to Kevin. Might be tonight before he gets a chance to look into it, he seems to think work matters.....

Ok guys, try it now. I figured out the issue. Permission was granted to view threads but not attachments. I changed that.

Still doesn't open the document but does give the option to save it to your puter.

Not directly on this topic but I use OpenOffice instead of MS office. It's shareware and I have had zero problems with it. It will open all word, Excel, etc. files. Don't know if a program to autoload MS Office to open a Word doc would open OpenOffice but I'm sure if you save it to disk it would open fine.
