Gents, came across a post from Michael aka Ranch Dog...
He mentioned in a marlinowners.com thread... dated in 2011... sizing diameters depending on manufacture: no safety marlins size .311, side safety marlins .310, and win94 and others .309... this is prior to his adjustment of the 165gr with the wide front band.
My 1984 336 has a short throat, rcbs 30-180 fn fit & cycle just fine... rd 311-170 (sc, not tl version) gets a bit of a hiccup and doesn't finish chambering. Thoughts on a .310 sizer?. Trim brass short until the oal works for the short throat? Have a gunsmith throat ream the 336 until it fits the rd?
Thanks!!
Andy
