Reloading is a great hobby!!!

This morning I reloaded 80 rounds of 44 special, formed 140 7 TCU cases and formed 60 358 Win cases.

I had let all these projects pile up and got them all done today. It was relaxing and rewarding. I really like getting lost in the world of my Reloading bench.

I even enjoyed straightening up the bench when I got through.

If it wasn't enjoyable I wouldn't do it. I have a job already and don't need another one.
It isn't just the actually reloading, it is the process, the thinking involved, and the joy of doing for yourself.
I bet most casters are hands on type guys.

There isn't a lot of things I would rather be doing than tinkering at the reloading or casting bench. I swear sometimes making the ammo is more fun than shooting it!

Small world. This morning I reloaded 50 rounds of 44 Special and 30 rounds of 9 mm, that I shot, yesterday. Early this afternoon, I went out back and shot up those 30 rounds of 9 mm and 30 of the 44 Special. Currently, in the tumbler. Will prep and reload them, tomorrow morning. Vicious circle.;)

Mid afternoon, Cindy wanted me to go with her for a walk in the woods to look for antler sheds and whatnot. Temps in the low sixties with filtered sunshine. So off we went........can't leave Bella behind.

Speaking of sheds. Last weekend we went up in the hills to go shooting. I rounded a corner and had to stop because of a doe in the road. I looked down, got out of the truck to find this in the middle of the road. 7E00E245-2398-44DC-A00D-E2A630F9ED98.jpeg

my reloading room and garage (where I cast) have both been such a soup sandwich I wasn't casting or loading, let alone know exactly I even had for bullet availability and brass. I have spent the last couple of weeks totally reorganizing and things are looking very promising moving fwd!

a couple of years back I was kicking around Wyoming quite a bit and was bumming around one of the canyons just north of flaming gorge when I found a pretty nice 3 point antler with a real big eye guard.
about 2 months later a guy on one of the boards got talking about a shed he found, I finally talked him into posting a pic of the one he had found about 20 miles away.
it looked like it was the opposite side of the one I had, so the next time I went over I dropped by with mine and we matched them up.
I ended up giving mine to him so he could hang them on his shed.

Am currently in the process of reloading all of my empty rifle brass.
Have beaucoup handgun brass reloaded, but am waiting for spring
and a non mud range to start shooting rifle again. Am fortunate to
have an indoor range about 4-5 mi from my house.

Am not so surethat reloading is a hobby. Tend to think of it as more
of and addiction.

casting tends to turn it into a lifestyle.
by the time you factor in lead gathering and cleaning and casting and sizing, then the reloading and finally the shooting it consumes a pretty large pile of time.

A great point to be sure! I've long felt that the term "hobby" tends to marginalize, or perhaps more accurately, minimize what I do when I'm not working. It's weird at times. Now "lifestyle" sums it up nicely. It is what I do, and to a large extent, it is what I am.

I was a happy guy when I discovered the internet and really happy when I run into things called websites.
the first time I run across the old aimoo board I ran and got the wife showing her that there really was other people doing this casting thing.
I finally wasn't the only one driving around all day Saturday looking for ww's from tire shops just so I could melt them down and shoot them.
