IMG_1558.JPG IMG_1557.JPG IMG_1554.JPG So I was able to make it out and do a little shooting this morning. All 50 rounds were loaded with brand new Hornaday brass. FL sized and sparked by CCI LRP.
The Lee 312-155 bullet was used to fire form the new brass. The results were not great but they were not horrible either. The rifle is very nice and slick in all aspects I'm sure I'll be able to come up with a load that works very well with this set up.

Now that I have some fire formed brass I think I'll be able to tweak the loads a bit and shrink the groups up. The Universal load looks promising....

Beautiful rig!

I'll save dropping new lenses in old steel tube Weavers' for another day. Will say however....believe they came out in '69?But a Weaver 3-9x40 AO,raised the scope bar by several notches when they hit the mkt.I found a,like NIB example at a gun show once that the dumba....uhh,nice guy selling it didn't realize the objective ring had been spun around one turn past it's range and was,"junk"...sold as parts.Won't say how much I got it for.

It's resting happily on a '68 243 ADL 700.Just sayin,do a little Google foo on them,would look/work rather spiffy on your new rig.Best,BW

depending on who was working the sorting at our PO I would have a 50-50 shot of actually getting mail addressed like that, if the zip code were correct.

There's a little post office not far from here that will deliver to just about anyone in the community from anywhere in the world with just first/last name and zip, like you said depending on who was working the PO. Where I live, it's a 50/50 shot that I get the mail or the box before or after me does, and that's with a full correct addy and +4 on the zip.

Well I had 50 of the Lee 312-155 bullets left over from the last loading session. 25 are coated with Smoke's Carolina Blue and sized to .311"
The other 25 are sized the same and lubed with 2500+ and Glen's Black. (I never cleaned the 2500 out of the sizer before adding the black)
These also got a coat of BLL.
The PC bullets were loaded this time with 9gr of Redot and the lubed bullets were loaded with 28gr of IMR3031.
All 50 pieces of brass were once fired and neck sized. I was able to seat the bullets out a bit farther and almost have the GC all the way in the neck of the case.
