We'll see how it goes. Hope to get out next weekend. Can't make it happen today or tomorrow.

Handsome rifle. That is clearly a shooter. I like those 722's, own one myself at the moment. Only thing is the stamped trigger guard, looks a bit rough. Wonder if anyone makes an aesthetic replacement?

I would think one from their old model 30 would be real close.
I found one digging through a box in a little shop in the middle of Wyoming a few years back.
it was rough cast from brass and took me about 30 hours of filing, bending, sanding, and polishing to get it but it looked real nice once it was done.

That is one very nice looking rifle, waco. Us 300 Savage shooters do have our cast bullet challenges: here are a couple of my loads: 130 grain with 18 grains 4759 for about 1850 fps and 117 grain Ranch Dog 32/20 bullet with 10.5 grains Green Dot for about 1700 fps. Both sized .309. Minute of beer can with my old eyes and rifles.300SavLoads9479.jpg

SR4759 has shown promise in my 300 Sav. I have about 14 pounds left. I have some .308 loads that like this powder. I plan on experimenting with it in the .30-06 as well.
