Revolver holsters

OK don't laugh!
I was gifted an RG 38S revolver.
Has seen a lot of holster time.
Didn't get the holster so am looking to buy one mainly for safe keeping.
Is supposed to be knockoff of the SXW 38 special.
Anyone have any ideas?

Is there a saddlemaker near you? Let him make the holster for you, using your gun as a pattern.

If I'm not allowed to laugh, I'll try to keep a straight face while I type this.
If you're worried about the finish of that fine revolver in storage, I wouldn't recommend storing it in a holster.
Maybe a simple gun rug.

I'm not ashamed of the few nylon holsters I have and have and have found that they can do good service for certain applications.

Barsony was the last brand I bought and I found the company to be nice folks to deal with and the holster was inexpensive but nicely made. This was a IWB "pouch-like" thing with a steel clip an was $20. I actually like it.

Uncle-Mike's comes to mind as well. The only holster I have for my only SA, a Flat Top 44 Special,... OK and it's brother, a converted OM 357x44 SPL.

Azula is one I've been eyeballing for leather at a lower price, but haven't owned one.

I have one nylon holster with a suede lining by G&G, which I am certain didn't cost a lot, but I love it for my 4" Bulldog. Unfortunately, they don't make those any more.

Assuming you are looking for something which doesn't cost as much or more than the gun is "worth." Otherwise - sky's the limit. Me? I have "cheap" guns which are worth much more to me than most of the more costly ones I've had over the years.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
The RG 38's I've held were not quite K frame sized, but were larger than a J frame. Not a lot of help, but I'd look at a K frame sized to start with. But RG made a lot of different guns over the years, so...?
