Stainless steel Contender barrels

A friend of mine passed away recently, and I am helping his family sell some of his shooting stuff. As a part of this collection of goods, there are several Contender barrels that might be of interest to handgun hunters (these are just barrels, not complete guns). All are 14" stainless steel barrels, and most are Hunter barrels with the T/C factory muzzle brake. There are two barrels that I can list today (there are several others that I will list later on). The first is a .444 Marlin barrel that Dave rechambered from a .44 Magnum barrel, using a reamer cut to his specifications -- instead of the standard sloppy levergun clearances (.008-.009"), Dave had this reamer cut with .003-.004" clearances, and instead of the classic Marlin "no throat" he had it cut with a 5 degree leade (good for heavyweight cast bullets). I have been hunting with the twin to this barrel (cut with the same reamer) for almost 20 years and I've found it to be quite accurate. Recoil with the 240s is surprisingly mild, and with the 300s is still easy to shoot (notably less than a 4" Model 29). Once bullet weight gets up above 300 grains, recoil climbs quickly. Dave mounted the small, light 2x T/C scope using his proprietary system where he dovetailed the rings directly into the barrel. This is a very clever system that is simple, lightweight and very rigid, and allows for mounting the scope lower to the bore, and farther forward, allowing easy access to the hammer. This barrel and scope package is $350.

The second barrel is also a 14" stainless Hunter barrel, however this one is chambered for .30-40 Krag and is unscoped. I do not know the specifics of the reamer used to cut this chamber as Dave did this one "behind my back" and didn't tell me about it as he was working on it (I think he wanted to surprise me with it), but knowing Dave, it is cut with tighter than normal tolerances. This barrel does not have a scope mounted, but is drilled and tapped for the factory scope bases. This barrel is $200. PM me if interested.
