Stock repair - Ben does great work!

Not sure where the best place to put this, so, here it is.. Recently bought a cpl 16 ga pumps. One is a Winchester Mdl 12, w/ a poly choke. Stock had been broken - twice! Figured out why - it is a 1926 vintage 2 9/16" chamber - so I am pretty certain somebody (multiple times?!?) shot 2 3/4" in it, maybe/probably some heavy/duck loads...

Long story short, sent to Ben. Stock repair he did looked awesome! And shot it today for the first time. Stock held up, dream to shoot (with proper RST 2 1/2" shells!) and love it. Model 12 has been on my bucket list. And 16 ga just makes it all the better! AND that it is the older vintage short chamber - yeah, I like odd/unique stuff!

Bottom line - if you need stock work, Ben does GREAT work! Thanx Ben!!!

Good thing you didn't go the the cross roads show in Reno . I must have seen 20-30 model 12s in 16,20, 28 and a lost stray 42 to go with the later 412 . I have a 1916 and a 1968 in 12 ga about a yr ago I dragged myself kicking and screaming out of shop with 1956 trap , fan walnut , just right at the ragged edge of too pretty to shoot .........

You're kind with your words.

Many thanks,
Ben

LMAO! Porb only thing I am kind with, and very seldom! You deserve the kudos!

RB - IF I find a Mdl 12 in 28 ga and can even remotely scrimp to afford it, it will be mine!
