That Williams mount troubled me, before and after

I have been bugged by the Williams scope mount on my 1903 for a long time. It positioned the scope way too far forward.

This afternoon I drilled one more hole in the rear bridge and mounted a scope in a Leupold mount.

Much better! I was sweating peanut butter drilling that hole but I got it right where it needed to be. I will sight it in soon.

Thanks, the Weaver 6x was used because of the length. It was the last nay scope I could get far enough back for proper eye relief.

I have enough adjustment now to add a recoil pad.
