This one followed me home today.

The spirit is strong but the flesh is weak.

I visited one of my favorite gun shops in Huntsville, AL today.
The longer I held this one, the more I knew it had to come home with me ! !

Got to get me a nice bullet mould so I can shoot some cast bullets.
Anyone want to make a recommendation on a mould ?

Suggestions? Yeah, buy a mask. Jesse James wore one!

You find some of the neatest stuff in gun shops. All I find is over blown prices and worn out junk.

Color me jealous.

I don't think i could have passed on that one either...great find. Looks like it's in great shape. The .222 is one of my favorite calibers.

That is a beautiful rifle.

Mould recommendations? Send the rifle to me and I should be able to come up with a good mould for you in a couple, no a few, make that several years time.

Haven't had much of an urge to own makes outside of Winchester, Brownings and OLD Remingtons. Sako is another I think I'd have to add to that list.

That looks like an A-1 varmint, small pork roast and fun gettin' gun.

Every time Ben posts pics of his latest acquisition or stock work, I'm looking around for a paper towel to dry up the drool on my keyboard.

Dang Ben that is one nice looking rifle. I would have a hard time turning that one down myself. I haven't owned a 222 for over twenty years. I am watching for one.

I wish mine could talk, I'd like to know who owned it, and a bit of history related to the rifle ?

Wow, Ben, that's one fine rifle, looks like it was well loved.

I recommend the Saeco #221 or the classic Lyman 22 version of the '646.

I might add, make a chamber/throat impression before spending money on a mould.
