Trevor shooting the Colt 2" Detective Special

My grandson Trevor wanted to shoot my 2" snub today.
He is not too bad shooting the revolver.
The revolver is a Colt, Series III , Detective Spec., caliber 38 Spec.
I purchased this one around 1973 ( + or - )

The load is a Lee 148 gr. .3575 " dia. wadcutter with 3.0 grs. Of Red Dot
Win Small Pistol Primers.

It was 12:30 when we left the range.
Lunch time.
Trevor wanted to eat Mexican. I agreed.

Trevor ordered Steak and Shrimp

Trevor seems to like what he sees.

Well, Trevor, a day at the range with Grandpa is nice enough, in itself, but getting him to pop for Mexican makes it all that much more special.

FINE SHOOTING, Trevor! I wish the deputies I used to qualify could run a 2" 38 as well as you do. FWIW, I think those Gen 3 Colt DetSpecs are the single-best 2" 38 Special this country has ever produced. +P capable, 6 shot capacity, decent OEM grip set, and that V-spring action. Perfect platform size.

Came in late on this one! Man, that kid can shoot! What were you? at about 7 yds? That is where I practice with my wife with here 2" S&W Terrier! 38 S&W! I see he shoots single action ....my wife prefers double action for CC
looking at his targets well! they speak for themselves! Good food for a good shooter! You guys are great together
