Tumble lubing economically

I tumble lubed a batch of bullets kinda heavy and was like hmmm there's enough in my gallon zip lock bag (that I use every time for tumbling) to put a final coat on some pistol bullets that I just sized and needed their second coat.

It's petty but it works.

I use the same bag every time because the new lube slightly rejuvenates the old stuff. It's like drinking your own backwash soda....you get a little more than you thought you were going to get yuck

I use a small baggy or a small plastic container with lid. I can warm either one in hot water to soften the lube and as you found the old lube gets used up too.
I do small batches of 40-50 pcs, their easier to control for me.

I have gone to using Ben's BLL exclusively, as it doesn't smoke that
bad an drys overnight. I use a couple of plastic ice cream containers.
I just pour the bullets back and forth 20 times. Have found that all
the bullets will be coated in 20 pours.

I just use an old Cool Whip container to swirl the bullets around with the Bens 15931CEB-BF26-437F-B157-4160F078A810.jpegliquid Lube. . I have done thousands in this container and it surprises me that the lube never builds up. Each time I put a few drops in it seems to rejuvenate the old stuff in the container. It works out quite well.

I use a plastic bag like Roger, although I have used containers to swirl and and they work ok. I just like the ziplock bags better.

Pretty amazing that someone as dumb as I am could come up with something like BLL .

It has been a " game changer " for many cast bullet shooters.

Ben,
I may have told you this before, but i started tumble lubing with alox. It would purge on me every 5 to 7 shots and left a ash, tar like residue in the bbl.
Next i tried straight JPW and it would purge like the alox, but left the bbl. very clean. I tried 1 coat of alox followed by a coat of JPW and things got better, but still would get a "wild" shot every now and then.

I actually thought of trying to mix JLW with alox to try, but remember thinking naaah, if the paste wax didn't work, no way that old liquid wax will do it.

I'd say I'M the DUMMY and YOUR the GENIUS!!!!
