My Lovering mold cast with lube and gas check about a 88/89 gr bullet. Looking for suggested starting loads with unique. None of my manuals have any data for that powder. Any advice?.
Figured with nasty weather I might as well load up some. Need to get my mil dot scope sighted in. Appreciate any suggestions..

7-12 for more or less everything in the 308 and 30-30 families. 14 in the 06' families, and 16 in 45-70 stays in the Trapdoor levels .

Not a 100% but reasonably accurate within nominal bullet weights .

Unique is apparently stable to 40k but also gets there in a hurry over 35kpsi .
Start low all the mummies and soot will go away @ 15kpsi but leave cases dark inside up through about 30kpsi where the black gets harder and leans towards chocolate colored .

There's a thread here with an authorized pdf for the 44th edition Lyman manual that should have data . If not the 250-3000 or 250 Savage data will be safe .

9 -10gr. Unique with that CB. Btw, NAPA auto stores (and others I presume) carry a spray on dry graphite film (alcohol based). I'd try it in the Loverin mould, but if it doesn't help, alcohol and a toothbrush will easily remove it.

Molds fine. I let it cool a little more like you suggested. Thanks for the information about the unique powder. So far I have been using red dot and blue dot.. Im going to change my scope so I'm going to load a bunch with unique for sighter rounds....john
